Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") governs your use of the CloudCenmax Services provided by Server Host Inc (1309 Coffeen Ave STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA), an authorized user of the registered Cenmax trademark. It exists to protect our network, other customers, and the public. The AUP is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meanings given there.
You are responsible for all activity on your servers and Account, including the conduct of your own users, customers, and anyone you allow to access your resources. Ignorance of activity on a server you control is not a defence.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Services to store, host, transmit, or link to:
- Content that is illegal under the laws of the State of Wyoming, the United States, or any other applicable jurisdiction.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. Zero tolerance — such activity is reported to authorities.
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights, including pirated software, media, or counterfeit goods.
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, exploit kits, or other malicious code, except for legitimate, contained security research that does not endanger third parties.
- Content that incites violence, terrorism, or hatred, or that harasses, defames, or threatens others.
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or phishing content, including fake login pages and scam sites.
- Ponzi or pyramid schemes, credit-card or financial fraud, and software piracy.
Adult content. Lawful adult content is permitted only in locations where it is allowed and requires prior written notification to us. Operating such content without prior notice may result in suspension or termination without notice.
Spam penalties
In addition to suspension or termination, we reserve the right to charge a penalty for confirmed spam originating from your Account (for example, a fixed fee per incident and/or a per-message charge), to cover the operational and reputational cost of remediation.
2. Prohibited Network and Security Activities
- Launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, or amplification/reflection attacks, from or through the Services.
- Unauthorised scanning, probing, penetration testing, or intrusion of networks or systems you do not own or lack written permission to test.
- Intercepting, sniffing, or tampering with traffic not intended for you, or spoofing IP addresses, headers, or identities.
- Operating open relays, open proxies, open recursive resolvers, or botnet command-and-control infrastructure.
- Attempting to circumvent metering, billing, resource limits, or access controls of the Services.
- Providing or facilitating tools, scripts, or services designed to enable spamming, flooding, intrusion, or piracy by others.
- Running IRC servers, IRC bots, or related services where prohibited for a given location.
- Operating a VPN or proxy service in any location where it is prohibited by local law or data-center policy.
3. Email, Spam and Messaging Abuse
- Sending unsolicited bulk or commercial email (spam), or any messaging in violation of anti-spam laws.
- Harvesting addresses, forging headers, or using lists obtained without consent.
- Activity that causes our IP address space to be listed on reputation or block lists. You must maintain good sending practices and valid opt-in records.
4. Resource and Network Abuse
- Using a server in a way that degrades performance, stability, or availability for other customers or the underlying platform.
- Sustained abuse of shared resources beyond posted limits, or deploying workloads on a resource type not intended for them where this is expressly restricted.
- Reselling or sharing the Services in breach of your agreement, or running activities that are prohibited in a given location.
5. Lawful and Honest Use
You must comply with all applicable laws, including those relating to data protection, export controls, sanctions, and financial regulation. You may not use the Services to facilitate money laundering, sanctions evasion, or other unlawful financial activity.
6. Catch-All
We may restrict any activity that, in our reasonable judgement, is harmful to other customers, to our network, to third parties, or to the reputation and operation of the Services — even if not specifically listed above.
7. Reporting Abuse
To report a suspected violation of this AUP — including spam, attacks, malware, or illegal content originating from our network — email support@cenmax.in with the relevant IP address(es), timestamps (with time zone), and supporting logs or evidence. We investigate credible reports and respond as appropriate.
8. Copyright and Takedown Notices
If you believe content hosted on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to the address above identifying the work, the infringing material and its location, your contact details, and a good-faith statement of infringement. We will act on valid notices, which may include removing content or suspending the responsible Account.
9. Cooperation with Authorities
We cooperate with law-enforcement and regulatory authorities and may disclose information and preserve or remove content where required by law or to prevent imminent harm.
10. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in warnings, throttling, suspension or termination of affected resources or your entire Account, removal of content, forfeiture of Prepaid Balance attributable to the violation, and reporting to authorities — with or without prior notice, depending on the severity and urgency of the issue. Where the risk is urgent (such as an ongoing attack or clearly illegal content), we may act immediately. We will use reasonable judgement and, where practical, give you an opportunity to remedy a violation.
11. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. The current version, with its updated date, applies to your use of the Services.
